Exforge is a medication used to treat high blood pressure. It belongs to a class of drugs known as angiotensin receptor blockers and calcium antagonists. It works to lower blood pressure and thus reduce the risk of cardiovascular problems.

Exforge contains a combination of two active ingredients: Valsartan and Amlodipine Besilate. Valsartan works by blocking the effects of angiotensin II, leading to the dilation of blood vessels. Meanwhile, Amlodipine relaxes blood vessels by inhibiting calcium entry into muscle cells. This combination enhances the effectiveness of treatment in lowering blood pressure and improving heart health.
