Simva works by inhibiting the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, a key enzyme in the process of cholesterol production in the liver. By reducing cholesterol production, the drug helps decrease fat accumulation in the arteries, thereby reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Simva also contains Ezetimibe, which works to reduce cholesterol absorption from the intestines, enhancing the effectiveness of the treatment.
